Alternative Judder Playlists: September 2009

Every month in the quiet town of Cheltenham, The freaks come out for an event known as Judder.
This site features the playlist from said night, that includes clickable links to the artists page on Last.fm as well as a link to the ALTERNATIVE playlist on Spotify.
The Alternative Playlist is not 100% identical and includes various remixes and replacements due to Spotify's limited library.

This site is also home to a varied mix of playlists, Including genres as diverse as Aggrotech, Dubstep, Drum and Bass, Happy Hardcore, Trance and much more.
There are also links to some of my mixtapes to either stream or download.

What Is Spotify?

Spotify is a free piece of software that links up to a massive library of music and allows you to stream them, legally for FREE.

The FREE version is supported by adverts, which to be fair allows 4 or 5 songs before a 30 second ad, which is better than commerical radio. Recently however Spotify have halved the amount of hours you can stream per month, from 20 to 10. It's still worth getting if you're a casual listener but if you really enjoy the service then subscribing is still cheaper than buying one CD a month.
You can upgrade to Spotify premium for £9.99 a month, you don't get any adverts and the streaming quality is doubled, there is no limit to how much music you can listen to either. You can also put Spotify onto your ipod or mobile phone and play music from your playlists in offline mode.
Recently Spotify has introduced Unlimited, similar to Premium but at the price of only £4.99 per month, the only downside is that you can't put Spotify on your ipod/mobile but unlike the free version you can listen for as long as you like.
Whether you opt for Premium, Unlimited or FREE the newest version of Spotify allows you to connect to your facebook and even add your itunes library!

What Is Last.fm?

Last.fm is a website that suggests music based on what you listen to, it 'scrobbles' music played on your itunes, Windows Media Player, Iphone, Winamp, Spotify or similar, and then works out which other Artists you would like.

You can also listen to music on the site and if you subscribe you can listen to the massive library of over 6 million songs and growing.

All of the artist links on this blog will open the artist page within Last.fm where you can listen to the songs, check out similar artists or interact with other Last.fm users.
